From our humble beginnings when we first registered in the year 1969, National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia (NKF) strives to raise the standards of care we provide to patients with kidney failure and those who are suffering from various kidney-related diseases. In 1993, we opened the doors of our first dialysis centre at Jalan Hang Lekiu, Kuala Lumpur. Over the years, NKF has grown tremendously with the support from many parties. NKF has expanded its role from being just a dialysis treatment provider, to becoming a one-stop national resource centre for all kidney-related matters.
As ann NGO that operates 28 dialysis centres that provide dialysis treatments to patients nationwide, with is now seeking committed and service-oriented personnel to fill the following.
1. HEAD OF MEDICAL DEPARTMENT (BASED AT HQ)
Responsibilities:-
- Responsible for the effective and efficient management of the medical department
- Oversee the Welfare Unit
- Oversee the Risk Management Unit
- Provide advice to the dialysis centre staff on patient management
- Review Haemodialysis patients’ progress regularly and liaise with Affiliated nephrologists where relevant
- Oversee clinical research activities conducted by NKF
- To conduct lectures at NKF’s Training Centre
Requirements:-
- Degree in Medicine from recognized university
- Post Basic degree in Medicine
- 5 years experience in Clinical Nephrology or Internal Medicine practice, including management of patients with end-stage renal disease
- Good command of spoken and written English language and Bahasa Malaysia
- Good communication & interpersonal skills with pleasant personality
- Good planning and organizing skills and able to work independently
2. HEAD OF FUNDRAISING (BASED AT HQ)
Main purpose of job: To maximise the generation of funds for NKF

Responsibilities:-
- Manage the Soliciting of donations for NKF from the general public and CSR from corporations
- Develop fundraising strategies, projects and new fundraising initiatives
- Establish good PR and rapport with donors and other voluntary bodies
- Work closely with other departments in NKF for fundraising events
Requirements:-
- Degree in Management, Marketing, PR or any related field
- 10 years experience in Fundraising OR Sales AND Management with proven track record
- Preferably worked with NGOs or have the inclination towards NGO like work and contribution
- Preferably somewhat financially independant, in his/her near retirement but have the right energy level
- Strong relationship & management skills
- Take charge, proactive and can lead and inspire the team
- Possess a broad network of useful contacts
- Able to prepare and deliver confident and persuasive presentations
- Innovative with experience in generation of creative fundraising ideas
- Able to interact respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
3. REGISTERED STAFF NURSE / MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Responsibilities:-
- To provide high standard of nursing care to all renal patients
Requirements:-
- SRN Certificate/MA board
- 5 years nursing experience
- Must be prepared to work on shift
- Experience in haemodialysis will be an added advantage
4. PUBLIC EDUCATION EXECUTIVE (BASED AT HQ & ALOR SETAR)
Responsibilities:
- Degree in nursing or health science, with at least 3 years of working experience
- Good command of at least two languages in English, Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin
- Good planning, organizing and presentation skills and able to work independently
- Computer literate
- Own transport and must be prepared to travel
Requirements:
- To promote health screening and health talk services to private organizations, teaching organizations and NGOs
- To coordinate and organize public education activities such as health exhibitions, health screenings and health talks
- To plan, develop, implement and monitor public education outreach program and activities
- To design, prepare and produce educational pamphlets, posters and other publication materials
- To provide health related counseling to members of the public
5. IT EXECUTIVE (BASED AT HQ)
Responsibilities:
- To provide first level support to all NKF centre’s
- To support the PCs, servers, network printers and network (LAN WAN)
- To troubleshoot software and hardware issue and assist in maintenance of website
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Troubleshooting skills in Microsoft Windows, Office, SQL-Server, PHP and MYSQL
- Must have own transport
- Full-Time positions available
6. PROJECT EXECUTIVE (FUNDRAISING) – BASED AT HQ
Responsibilities:
- To plan and organise fundraising activities
- Good organizing and planning skill on events
- Able to work independently and good networking with corporation
- Able to communicate effectively with all level
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree / Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Experience in Marketing and sales
- Computer literate
- Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia, knowing Chinese is added advantage
- Must have own transport
7. DIALYSIS ASSISTANT
Responsibilities:
- To ensure that the Dialysis Centre premises and surrounding such as staircase, window, floor, pantry, R.O room, re-use bay, toilets, furniture, trolleys and etc are clean
- Prime bloodlines and dialysers prior to haemodialysis treatment
- To reprocess all dialysers after the end of treatment
- Cleaning of dialysis machines, chairs, and table each time after termination of dialysis
- To assist in the stocking of goods in the store room
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least SPM
- Good team player
- Passion for patient care
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to interact with all levels of people
8. ADMIN ASSISTANT (BASED AT DIALYSIS CENTRE)
Responsibilities:-
- Responsible in ensuring incoming calls are answered courteously and promptly
- Responsible for general office administration
- Ensure all documentations are properly filed
- To liaise with other departments on operations documentations
Requirements:-
- Candidate must possess at least a SPM / STPM / Diploma or certificate
- At least 1 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Preferably Non-Executives specializing in Clerical / Administrative Support or equivalent
9. PROJECT COORDINATOR (FUNDRAISING) – BASED AT HQ
Responsibilities:
- To plan and organise fundraising activities (training will be provided)
- Good organizing and planning skill on events
- Able to independently and good networking with corporation
- Able to communicate effectively with all level
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Business Studies / Administration / Management, Marketing or equivalent.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
- Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Petaling Jaya
- Knowing Chinese is an added advantage
